How credits, refunds and reversals work.
FindNameNow sells one-time packs of search credits. This page explains when a credit is used, when it is returned automatically, and what happens if a payment is refunded or disputed.
What you are buying
A credit pack is a one-time digital purchase, not a subscription. Each credit pays for one paid naming search: name generation, live domain availability checks and verified pricing where the provider supports it. Credits do not expire in this version of the service. Domain registration is not included — you register a domain separately with a registrar of your choice.
When a credit is used
When you start a paid search, one credit is reserved. If the search returns at least one domain that passes your filters, the reserved credit is used, even if fewer than the maximum number of suggestions are returned. Your order history and every credit movement remain visible in your workspace under History & orders.
When a credit is returned automatically
- No candidate passes your filters (for example, every domain is taken or above your price limit).
- The AI provider or the domain provider fails while your search is running.
- The search cannot be saved because of a problem on our side.
In these cases the reservation is released without you having to ask, and the credit is available for your next search.
Refunds of a purchase
If a payment is fully refunded, the unused credits from that purchase are removed from your balance. If some of those credits were already used, if a refund is partial, or if a payment is disputed with your card issuer, the order is recorded and routed for manual review rather than silently offset against credits from another purchase. The original order and ledger entries are kept for accounting and dispute purposes.
How to request help with an order
Use the contact form and include the date of the purchase, the package and, if you have it, the order number from your confirmation email. Payments are processed by Stripe, which also sends the payment receipt.
Frequently asked questions
Do credits expire?
No. Credits do not expire in this version of the service and can be used across all your projects.
Is a credit used if my search returns no results?
No. If no domain passes your filters, the reserved credit is released automatically.
Is a credit used if I get fewer than ten suggestions?
Yes, as long as at least one result passes your filters. A paid search with one or more valid results uses one credit.
What happens to my credits if a payment is refunded?
Unused credits from that purchase are removed. If some were already used, or the refund is partial, the order is reviewed manually and the original records stay visible.
