About FindNameNow

A more informed first naming shortlist.

FindNameNow helps founders, makers and teams turn a short product brief into name ideas — with current domain availability and pricing beside every suggestion.

The problem we set out to solve

Naming usually happens in two disconnected steps. First comes the creative part: a whiteboard full of words, a few rounds of feedback, and finally a favorite. Only then does someone type the name into a registrar — and discover that the .com is taken, parked by an investor, or listed as a premium domain for a price nobody budgeted for.

That late discovery is expensive. Teams lose the momentum they built around a name, settle for an awkward variation with extra words or hyphens, or start the whole brainstorm again a few days before launch. Logos, pitch decks and social handles prepared for the first choice have to be redone.

What FindNameNow does differently

We put the two steps side by side. You describe what you are building, who it is for and the tone you want. An AI model proposes names that fit that brief, each with a short rationale and a suggested pronunciation. Every candidate domain is then checked with a live domain provider, and only names whose domain is confirmed as available — with a listed first-year price — reach your results.

Useful context, without false certainty

We are deliberate about what a result means. A generated name is a starting point for research, not a guarantee of commercial success. Domain availability and price come from an external provider and reflect the moment of the check; they can change before you register. A domain being available is also different from a name being legally clear — trademark registers in the markets where you operate deserve their own search, and legal advice when the stakes are high.

FindNameNow does not register, sell or reserve domains, and it never publishes your searches. Your brief is processed by the AI provider to generate candidates, and candidate domains are sent to the domain provider for checking. You can read the details in our privacy policy.

Who it is for

Founders naming a startup, freelancers and agencies preparing options for a client, product teams naming a new app or feature, and small businesses that want a domain they can actually buy. The workflow is the same in every case: a clear brief in, a short list of researched options out.

How pricing works

You can run one free search every 24 hours without an account. For deeper searches — more results, style and language options, extensions such as .io or .app, and price limits — you buy a one-time credit pack. There is no subscription, credits do not expire, and a paid search only uses a credit when at least one result passes your filters. Card payments are processed by Stripe. See pricing for the current packs.
